Lovely visit to Stratford Butterfly Farm http://www.butterflyfarm.co.uk/attraction/
Lots of truly beautiful Butterfly's in an indoor garden of flowers and greenery. A far greater variety and volume of them than I expected. Some rather large creepy crawlies in the arachnids display as well. The bridge over the indoor waterfall was a delight from which I had to extract my toddler after quite some time. He and his friend were mesmerised by the large Koi carp. It only took about an hour, although you could have taken longer with a party with longer attention spans.
It was very warm in there, a super place for a rainy day. Its effectively a large greenhouse, which, on a sunny day must be uncomfortably warm.
The front of house staff were not very friendly and gave no explanation of where to go or how it worked. Also, no on site toilets. You have to leave the venue and cross the car park to the public toilets. This is not good with little ones, with short legs and small bladders.
Cooking adventures for our family, growing our list of favourites over time. Previously called Jam tarts and gingerbread men, this blog is having a makeover.
